Pre-Dyno Notes

Dyno Session

Some Things to Keep in Mind

A Dyno Session is a great way to see exactly how well your bike is running.  For $40 we will give you Horsepower, Torque, and Air/Fuel Ratio.  We will even let you know what you could change to get that extra edge or to improve drivability.

Before scheduling an appointment, be sure the bike is completely operational.  All bolts and fasteners are tight, all gaskets are good, and oil level is correct.  The clutch should also be either new, or in very good condition. If you haven’t ridden it down the track or on the street, don’t bother bringing it in.  Test any electrical components you may have added such as a Nitrous Kit, Fuel Injection Controller, Air/Electric Shifter, and so on before arriving.

The bike should have a street or hard compound rear tire mounted and balanced.  A full tank of the type of fuel you plan on using and a well lubed chain with proper tension.  If you plan on trying different bolt on items, be sure to have all of your tools necessary for the job.

Custom Mapping

Some Things to Keep in Mind

Having a custom map built for your fuel injected bike is the only way to get the most performance and street ability.  Custom mapping will allow you to get better fuel economy and yet still provide you with instant throttle response and top end horsepower.  Ryan Schnitz Dyno Service can build a custom map for your fuel injected motorcycle equipped with a PCIII, PCIIIr, or PCUSB in about 2 hours.  PCII's will take a bit longer.
